Yes, it seems incredible but true, the GREEN series is cheaper, yet faster than the BLACK series, which is much more expensive and that is "supposedly faster." saw things that seemed to me suspicious, enter the page Official website of "Western Digital" and after looking at the PDF of all series of hard drives, I saw that made him clear. Green Series: 150 megabytes per second. It is a quality product, it serves its purpose,
use it for a camera system where you have to be working 24 hours straight. So far I have not had any problem, I have not any active cooling, only the support where it attaches the disc and shows no overheating. Super silent, a Seagate I've had before and makes more noise than this. I am very happy with the purchase.

As a backup disc, you have a good price disc WD high quality and decent reading speed, I have personally had enough bad experiences with seagate and WD always responded to what it offered. I recommend it as disk storage.

Wear more than one months using two of these drives for RAID 1 to store my photos and I have not experienced any problems. They are pretty quiet and the speed it is fantastic, especially mounted in RAID 1. Moreover, the price is fine and the cache is large enough.
